A FEW USEFUL DETAILS

Before you get building.

Is Trade Estimater really free?

Yes. All 100 calculators are free to use, with no account needed. Star a calculator to save it in this browser for next time.

Can I use feet and inches?

Yes. Every calculator has a metric and imperial switch. Your measurements are converted when you change systems. Liquid measures use US gallons.

How accurate are the material estimates?

The maths follows the formula shown on each calculator. Real quantities depend on your measurements, product yields, cutting layout and waste. Check the assumptions and your supplier's specifications before ordering.

Does this replace a building design?

No. These tools estimate quantities from your inputs. Structural sizes, installation requirements and local building rules still come from the relevant project specifications and qualified professionals.
